The Jackson 5 Left Motown in 1975 they signed with Epic/CBS Records in 1976 They had to change their name to The Jacksons becasue Motown kept the rights to the name the J5.Jermaine wrote this song in 1981as a Tribute to his Brothers the Jacksons and not just Mike.

Germaine wrote and sung this song when The Jackson 5 left Motown and joined CBS, he wasn't in favour of deserting Motown, as it had done so much to promote the group, so stayed with Motown. He wrote this beautiful song during the separation time between himself and his brothers. He was deeply upset and depressed at the time, being shut out of the family by his father's actions. He and Michael missed performing together so much. Their father was a dictator and manipulative bully.
