David Cook was my favorite American Idol then and still is now. What a voice! If I could have any voice, it would be his :) he has a rasp and a tone that is just amazing!!! David Cook, you are awesome

The Good old days when the voice didnt exist, and american idol was the number 1 one tv show. LOL. Dont get me wrong I still like the voice and Britains got talent, x factor. , ect ect,. Just saying Idol started this all. Thx for Carrie underwood, Daughtry, David cook, Adam Lambert, and the girl, I forget her name. But I know she famous too. Peace Idol, Heard this is your going away year. And yes, at that time archeletta had a few more years for his voice to mature and to get some swag and karisma. But he wss still good. well, actually I think David could have done it, but that the music needed some adjustments to support both of the singers way of singing. The problem is that David sounds like he is trying to follow the original instead of making it his own. Anyway David still got his own songs out, so it's still awesome.

Archuleta would have won, if Simon didn't say anything. But he did and therefore Cook won. I'm a fan of both but he really shouldn't have said anything the night before on who stole the night because they both did haha

You freaking kidding me? Archuleta sounds like Josey Scott and Cook would never steal the spotlight because that's like his little brother. I don't think neither of them made this song weird and Cook suggested the song because in every finale they always make the last two singers sing a crappy song and he didn't want that considering both of them were young. Archuleta agreed to this as well. This is an outstanding performance and they are both awesome.

Don't know what all the fuss is about...personally I think they both did an amazing job on this song,and they harmonize very well, to my ear at least. I enjoyed this performance!

both great singers.. archuleta is smooth but cook has more range and power, plus he's more mature and exudes greater stage presence, thus he wins.
