I agree they always sound great and it's a great song! It's a shame the vocals were that bad. I have seen tons of there stuff it always sounds great that was the worse I heard vocally! They are always spot on musically and the lyrics are genius!

I agree with the positive comments about the genius of the song writing, And the music is spot on as usual. But I have to agree with the post about Roger smoked too many cigars. One of my favorites and the vocals were horrible. I seen tape of David Gilmore and he still sounds great. If you sing like that you shouldn't sing on stage in front of a paying crowd. Very disappointed!

I love Pink Floyd more than most, but when you're resorting to lip synching..............................................................

Jesus where did these guys come from? Are they even human? How do you write music like that? Okay to much information time, totally had the best hooking up session of my life to a greatest hits cd of Pink Floyd. It was magical. And no I lasted through more than one song thank you very much...

This one of the songs waters lip syncs live, so the audience weren't supposed to hear the bad vocal that's accidentally too high in the mix.

Oh man sounds like he had a throat infection or something. Instrumentation is brilliant though

Jon Carin would've been better suited for this vocal, but other than that it's not too bad.

the problem is that neither waters and gilmour, do you sing on the album (wish you were here) and as waters is proud ... he would do better to lie to the day! Gilmour was at least smart enough never to have taken live!

Solo was note for note. I was wondering how the new guy would handle it.Great job.

i deeply believe that waters would never release such a live version of his songs...you can clearly listen in the mix that the "bad" vocals are louder than any other instrument...

Although sung by Roy Harper on the original studio recording, this song actually seems better suited for Waters' voice, far more-so than Gilmour's. While I prefer David Gilmour's vocal style, there are some Pink Floyd songs that Roger Waters sang well ... but yikes, not this one. Not this particular version anyway, due to whatever problem he seemed to be having with his throat. For anyone interested in checking it out, there is another video of this song here on YouTube, in which he sounds way better than this. Here's the link.Have a Cigar - Roger Waters / Pink Floyd

Roger didn't lose his voice as a matter of fact nobody sing this song from the floyd members ,this song was made by Pink Floyd but Roy Harper sing it ,as David Gilmour say "..we couldn't quite sing this song and Roy Harper from the studio next door to us came across and say :' From the right money I would sing it...' he did a very good job and thank you very much...

Fun fact for all of you wondering why Waters' voice is less than spectacular here: Roger did not sing this in the studio. He hired another singer in his place, and it is easy to see why.
