Remember first hearing this song on GTK growing up in Melbourne (may even have been this clip), then saw them live at Sunbury as Greg Quill's Country Radio. Outstanding band and music. Thanks for upload would definitely love to find album(s).

Beautiful Aussie classic.....''masterpiece...''

Reintroduced to this classic via a cover done by Adam Harvey. I remember it well but crikey...I was all of 13 ! Bit too cool to like the style then (as you are when you platform shoes were about 6 " tall -nearly as big as me !) But now.....hell no. This song holds its own against any of the iconic Aussie classics.

One of the great bands of my late teens back in the 70's when I lived in Melbourne.30 plus years later I met Greg and Kerryn at a gig in Toronto and I took my well worn copy of the Gypsy Queen LP and the triple Sunbury album with me to get a couple of signatures. I'm glad I did , cos they were both blown away and Greg's daughter was with him who had never seen the albums and now she has.

I first heard this song on my way to Rutherglen in 1972, I had just got my licence and my best mate and I were off to Mt. Ophir winery for the weekend. I lost touch with him which I always have regretted. If anyone knows Andrew MacPherson please let me know....

I lived in outback SA back in '72. No TV and no commercial radio. Thank God for the ABC radio and Sunday afternoons. This is just so damn full of memories.

How come this song hasn't made it on to movie soundtracks and TV commercials, like so many other Australian songs of the 1970s? Music publishers should get onto this!
