An interesting interview during (by my opinion) his golden days as a solo artist.
He was on top of his game. He mentions that he had just finished japanese tour from which an Live album will be released. That turned out to be one of the greatest live albums in Deep Purple Family, Burning Live In Japan... Hughes here looks very relaxed, and his dressed really as a Rocker (not like nowadays). He was just a guest on Monsters of Rock, he did not perform on it....

I'm sure he was gacked out. Major coke head but it didn't damage than golden voice of his. Black country communion is the best music I've heard in 30 years. Glenn Is the best.One of my favorite singers of all time.The best singer Deep Purple ever had IMO.10 years ago

I agree that this was his golden days as a solo artist. A very focused hard rock sound, which suited his voice perfectly. And a perfect follow up to his time with Deep Purple. A shame that he didn't settle with this, and has tried too hard to become the Stevie Wonder of rock.10 years ago
