Jackson was just SIXTEEN when he wrote this song ! Incredible ! Sounds like something you would write after reflecting on a very long life .

As a child, I would hold the side of the tv, dancing up and down in my diapers, then sitting in front and being transfixed by the Glen Campell tv show. Someone compared him to McCartney. I'd say that's a great analogy - An American McCartney.I love you, Glen.

I like both versions, Jackson Browne's and Glenn Campbell's. I find this version doesn't make me feel sad the way Jackson Browne's does. I woke up this morning with this song playing in my mind. It's hard to believe Jackson Browne wrote this song when he was only 16. He was old beyond his years. Great artists both of them--thank goodness for YouTube.

Such an amazing version. I hope Jackson Browne is proud. It's an incredible swansong for Glen - he has been a great performer - but his version really moved me.

am preferring Glen's version over Jackson Browne... Glenn the angel michael of music .. like paul maccartney he is a super gifted musician who cannot read music .... they just have the music in them ~

I'm a Jackson Brown fan,,My parents were Country,,So I am familiar with his music. He makes this song his own..I still like JB's version,,Campbell was Great...Amazing,,So sad he is ill ...Sorry for him and his family.." These days I sit on cornerstones and count the time in quarter times to 10,,Don't confront me with my failures, I have not forgotten them",...

I grew up in inner city Philly. We all listened to Motown, RnB. Soul music but Glen Campbell still broke through into our homes and my heart. This video and song is a fitting tribute and farewell to a legend.à

I totally agree Mr. ramblingambler777! I love it too!My husband has had AD (for 8+years now) & I too was so sorry to hear one of my all time favorites The Great Glen Campbell had it also, as it is a HELL I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy & I pray for his wife & children. I loved GC when I was young & recently have fallen in love with him & his old & new songs all over again. I know what he's facing, I know what he & his family are going through so his songs really touch my heart! God Bless You!

Cannot listen to this without crying! Especially poignant with Glen's illness and doubly so because my Mum who has always loved him has the same illness. I'm 49 and cannot remember a time when I didn't know who Glen Campbell was. Fond, fond memories.
