I remember when this song came out and my sister and cousin and I took my mom to the Arie Crown Theater in Chicago to see Gladys (she's always loved Gladys) to hear her sing Landlord. She especially loved it for my stepfather who was ALWAYS there from the time I can remember. I can hear my mom now yelling..."sing that landlord song!" Rest in Peace mama...I will always love you until the end of time. <3
