George Harrison was born in Liverpool, England on February 25, 1943.

Property of EMI records.

Original 1970 vinyl pressing. I double checked the speed, the official video is not properly timed and too slow. Transferred with my best elliptical stylus.

My mom bought this vinyl record you're hearing when she moved to California in the 70's.

the best place to wander on psychedelics is one's own estate grounds

"Let it roll" means to me almost too much and strong memories........ The picture shows George Harrison in the garden of his property Friar Park, designed by Sir Frankie Crisp.

Questa, insieme a Wah Wah e Isn't it a Pity (e a Apple Scruffs e a I Dig Love, insomma, tutto il resto dell'album) la mia top ten di George dall'album All Things Must Pass!

Such a beautiful song, with some of the greatest lyrics a human has ever written. Adding John and Paul's collective creativity would not equal the artistic genius of the Dark Horse, George Harrison. And George was, in fact, just picked up by the Beatles as an afterthought, someone to play backup guitar. That's got to be thousands of times luckier than the biggest lottery win ever, equal to finding the Holy Grail buried in your garden. But would George, a far better musician than any other Beatle, have done better on his own? A topic to debate. To me, this song appears to describe a medieval pilgrimage, perhaps trekking to the Fountain of Perpetual Mirth: "lose your bodies in the maze", "through long walks of cool and shades/Through ye wood where you may rest a while", and then the last verse seems to evoke, to me, the pilgrimage has reached its destination, a magical place where there's no line between illusion and reality, where Joan and Molly (angels?) sweep the stairs, eyes shining full of inner light. And let it roll into the night, maybe meaning to let your troubles leave you and roll away? A song to ponder, definitely, but it is certainly describing some sort of journey.

This song and tune was way ahead of its time. Seriously sounds like it was made recently

As you all probably know, Sir Frank Crisp was a genius and eccentric lawyer and horticulturist. He started building Friar Park in the late 19th century. The estate was enormous with beautiful man-made lakes, a topiary garden, a japanese garden, a rock garden, a Dutch garden, and so much more. There is a cool book called FRIAR PARK: A PICTORIAL HISTORY that has more info. Knowing the background and inspiration really helps to appreciate this song.

Is that Pete Drake on pedal steel guitar?. He used to accompany George Harrison for studio recording.

I love this album and this song... it's so beautiful. I don't believe in the Karmic Wheel (roll)... or any thing supernatural at all... but I believe in the emotions those thoughts brought out in him.

First of all, I adore this song. I'm listening to this a few times now with headphones on, and I hear some low pitched , low volume (male voice) backing vocals. I cannot make out what they are singing . . . anyone???
