Yeah no shit! I noticed it immediately when I first heard the other copy of this here somewhere. This is in 1991 at the Tokyo Dome with Clapton's band of course, Nathan East on bass & Al Cooper on percussion etc.!Thank God, I was lucky enough to see him when I was 15 in '74 at the Forum near L.A.AugySan Diego

His note progressions were original and so melodic that they sometimes made you well up inside. I'd listen to his slide over any one. I really miss George. True Love is one of my favorites.

George was self-deprecating just like Ringo Starr, and would never brag or even call himself good. But those who knew what really good is know he was as good as it gets. So much of what he was capable of doing you will never hear on recordings, but he's sooooo good. Glen Campbell is right in that category too, although silly publications like Rolling Stone would never recognize these men for what they were--and I was "were," because George has graduated from mortality, and Glen has Alzheimer's now and can't really even effectively tune a guitar.

George's playing was always beautiful and pitch perfect. It is pitch and tone delivered with studied accuracy, not flash, that characterized George's playing, and his songs. Man, I do miss George.

I've heard this song a million times. I adore George's understated, studied, workman's-like approach. No frills, just thrills. His slide playing still sends chills down my spine.

Great song. George had his own slide sound. I can only imagine how much Olivia and Dhani miss him. I know I do.
