Quality Inn Parkway, Nashville, summer 1986. I sang along to the sound of Gene Watson's Carmen coming from the jukebox one day. My audience was sweet D.J. Scott, a cocktail waitress from Ohio that I couldn't take my eyes from. That night she told the band about me and they talked me me into singing Carmen with them. I got to sing with them several times that summer and D.J. and I became close friends. What sweet memories. Sometimes this Norwegian is still wondering where she is today.

Wow - what a great video. Gene sounds wonderful. I've heard him sing this before but I do like this version so much better. He sure is good lookin' here. Gene's voice just seems to fit every song he sings and he does all styles perfectly. It's always a treat to find another video such as this one. Thank you for posting this. - Paula
