A poignant reminder of one of Chris Sievey's (AKA Frank Sidebottom) finest moments. Also a chronicle of the demise of the record store.

I could never understand why the BBC wouldn't play saying that it was advertising Virgin Records, when he says so many record labels during the song. A great pop classic.

Just saw Michael Fassbender in film "Frank" and now looking into the real Frank and the Freshies music. Creative minds or crazy minds? Also see "Punk Rock Girl" by the Dead Milkmen. Fun!

Love this. I remember seeing the promo video for this ( on Tiswas I think ) when this song was originally released. It mainly consisted of the band miming to the song in ( you guessed it ) a record store. Would love to see that video again.

Love the video, especially the way you got the 35 labels on, in time to the tune. Always amazed me that the only major label he didn't mention was the one that finally signed him - MCA. Good memories, thankyou.
