This song appeared before the public in the early nineties. But where did the band come from, and what makes them so special?
"Did anyone expect such a sound to come from a few little-known souls?" Mork Winky of Squat And Wipe Records described the early sound of the band called "Pfft!". Granted, he was in the bathroom at the time, and the sounds he heard were merely the band mates in the other stalls, but it was exactly what his company was looking for.
Mork convinced the band to transform their current fart and shit-noised tracks into more of a mainstream focus. Because, to become mainstream meant to capture a wider fan base. Under new direction, they changed their name to Gabe Abeejay and the Stain Swappers, and the general audience responded positively.
The new album, Tales Of The Girl's Room, incorporated elements that a female audience could relate to as well. New lyrics involved more than just shit and piss, but the flushing of tampons and the backing up of toilets flooded with errant maxi pads. There was something for everyone.
Or, almost everyone. It was time to capture the final audience, the audience of people who use that weird unisex half-bathroom that you need a key to get into. But the band had had enough. They changed once more to the name Flotsam and Jetsam, and kept only the sounds of pee streams hitting the wrong part of the toilet.
Their many albums since the early 80's are nothing but this ever-present urinating noise, remixed and remastered a thousand ways. Sounds great!
