The song "Songbird" by Fleetwood Mac, performed by Christine McVie. It is from the Rumours album. Songbird is a nice little song to sit back and relax to; very easy on the ears. Enjoy!

I believe this could possibly be the most tender and romantic love song ever written and performed . When I hear her sing this, I think of a woman who is so deeply in love with this man. She believes as long as she is by his side, nothing could happen to him ( No more crying, the sun always shining ). The world is right when they are together. She is so deeply in love with him that she would do anything for him and she would never do anything to hurt him. She isn't saying she loves him more. She is saying she loves him more than she ever thought she possibly could. "I wish you all the love in the world. But most of all I wish it from myself". She wishes him all of the love in the world and she wants to be the woman that gives him all that love. This is how I see the song and I believe the line "I wish you all the love in the world. But most of all, I wish it from myself". It's one of the most beautiful and selfless lines I've ever heard in a love song. It's almost as though she loves him so completely, that she wants him to know that no one could possibly give him more love or make him feel more loved than she can. It's a powerful and deep love. She sang this with such perfection. Every note is perfect and every emotion she puts into it is genuine. I'm sure there are a lot of men out there who would love to have this type of woman in their lives. And that works both ways. To be loved as unconditionally as humanly possible. To be your absolute truest self, warts and all, and know that someone loves you so deeply. Every part of you. RIP Gary

I can't listen to this song without tearing up. It reminds me of my too-soon-departed wife. But it's worth it for the memory. Thank you, Christine.

I used to pour over the cover and inside sleeve of the Rumours album when i was a teenager. It was my sisters album, a massive album but for some reason i was always drawn to this song. I still love to come back to it every so often and hear the voice of an angel.
