I believe the title translates into English as "Finish the Course," but I may be off on tense (past, present, future?). I looked it up in an old Latin Dictionary. I thought the phrase originated in St. Thomas Aquinas's "Summa Theologica," (13th century A.D.) in a reference to Jerome's Latin Vulgate translation of the Apostle Paul's 2nd Epistle to Timothy, but I couldn't find it. Another place to look for this kind of wisdom is Marcus Aurelius's "Meditations."
