No they didn't. Actually Chuck Schuldiner was the first one to use death growls (or one of the firsts); and in fact, the whole genre is named after his band. Symbolic is usually consodered to be their best effort. Human and The Sound Of Perseverence are great too. These albums all have progressive elements, but if you're looking for more straightforeward metal. Check out their earlier stuff.11 years ago
