Did Elton ever make a decent video. I understand not entirely his fault, but you'd think they'd get the big star writers and directors with more talent. And he's dressed like a clown acting terribly trying to make a serious point in a serious song. Wow!

I've always liked this song. And it comes from the album that contains my fave Elton song NIKITA. Saw him live in concert once. He didn't sing this one. But he did do NIKITA! Thanks for all your great songs Sir Elton!!

I used to have a fear of clowns. When I was a baby, my parents had bought me these toy clowns that hung over my crib... Well... Elton Clown would've definitely traumatized me.

I think if they had been made at a slightly different time in his career, they would have sounded better. They are a bit too much synth driven, Leather Jackets in particular. Tone that back and they would have probably have aged a bit better. You're right though, I used to think both those albums were an easy miss, but there are some catchy tunes on both. Lyrically, in particular.
