You know your Eels lineups! I've interviewed him three times since 1996. His manager gave him the name Eels years ago as a nickname for business purposes. Literally to keep his records from getting lost in the "E" stack in record stores. I can't post my articles here, though, or I'd post my last interview with him.

Not really there are a few other members but he's the main singer and writes all the songs. Butch and Tommy Walter were the other 2 members on the Beautiful Freak album then Tommy left on the next album and was replaced by Adam Siegel, Then in Daisies of the Galaxy they got a few more members, In Souljacker and Shootenanny albums Butch left and was replaced by Puddin' and they had a new set for live acts, And so on for the other albums. Basically he's always got someone with him!
