Funny story... I thought I wrote this song for a REALLY long time because when I was first starting to get into Ed Sheeran I only knew the "see the flames inside my eyes, they burn so bright I want to feel your love" part so I wrote a whole song centralized around that idea, that was awful and completely different than the real song (which by the way, is my absolute favorite song in the whole entire universe). Then one day I was watching the Dublin Multiply Live full concert (which is amazing by the way) and I realized it was Ed Sheerans and I hadn't just been blessed by the gods with the best lyric ever8 years ago
