This is the best song on the album. I wouldn't say that this album has bad songs. They were just unfinished.

sure dredg is free to evolve in whichever way they see fit. but i just can't seem to understand how you could like their older stuff and still think that the band hasn't just lost it. this album just seems to lack life, the drums have been reduced to whaat sounds like a drum machine, the vocals are weaker, the guitar parts are just stagnant, and the synths are kinda bland. i'm all for bands changing but this album is not the right direction for dredg IMO

Very true. Personally it's Concious EP - El Cielo that I enjoy the most. Catch Without Arms I felt was good, but lacked some of the creative elements that the older dredg expressed.

Yeah, nobody seems to be able to agree about dredg; more so than with any other band I've seen, everyone seems to have very different opinions about each of the albums.

Well, to each his own.

@TheImpersonatorVEVO "Dredg WAS never, and should never have become anything HIP-HOP" Gavin used to Rap in their Conscious EP... just saying...

@cheetosfreetodorito1 The problem with PPD, for me, was the lack of technicality that I KNEW dredg was/is capable of incorporating, which El Cielo and Leitmotif had. PPD was catchy and had hints of dredg, but was relatively bland. I mean, Dino could have just been replaced by a drum machine. He was a monster in their first 2 albums. I don't like Gavin's current singing style. I feel he should have retained the way he sang in CWA. But that's just my opinion, and their direction is up to them.

I keep trying to get in to this record and just can't for the life of me do it. It's not that I mind change it's just WAY TO different from everything I fell in love with. It would be like a new deftones album sounding like nickelback or something. This is the only track I like and that's only because it samples a song from an older album. I dig the cover art though.

@CordillaMusic It's true, but its like telling a child an all-star track runner last place is just as good as first place, when they're a first-place runner. Dredg has epic talent and skill, its been proven throughout their albums, and their live shows even more-so. Its a sub-par album, we all know it. "change" or not. Everything from the recording to the songs that just drain on with no real instrumental execution. But I hear what you're saying, they can choose whatever direction they want

I admire their desire to experiment, but i'm not too enthused by their execution. still better than pariah, parrot, and the delusion. el cielo is still their most brilliant album.
