More like El Cielo is what I would say. This was more Gavin's style at that time. He screamed the most on that album. This is way before Leitmotif. On LM, Gavin sings differently and hardly screams at all, with the exception of one song that he screams on, and that's at the end of that track, btw. Are you aware of El Cielo? Just wondering. They totally could have put this on that album.

This is without a doubt my favorite album by them. Such an amazing album. I like the albums they've done since this, but I prefer the style of this one to the rest. They were amazing live about 12 years ago when they were performing these songs. I wish I would have bought the CD when I had a chance but they always sold out of them at their shows! Wanna burn me a copy and sell it to me? :)

@Rockness01 Yes absolutely. I have to say that, though i like their latest albums a lot, for me Leitmotif is "the" album; is a masterpiece, complete and rounded, without any weak point, and their style there is more into me. But anyway, they are an astonishing group, whatever they do is art.

I see what you mean. Orph sounds more Dredg-ish than Concious, so in a way it's really their first "Dredg" EP. What's funny is that before I got the EP, I somehow already figured Concious was going to be Nu-Metal.

My bad, i had the folders together and i confused the names. Is interesting to listen Conscious for realize their evolution, but its too raw yet IMO. From this EP, "Orph", Kayasuma seems to me the closest song of the EP to what i understand as "Dredg". (Thats why i only uploaded this song).
