Aaaahhh...Young David, singing one of my favorites. Loved him since 1990, on first hearing his music, then experiencing his incredible spirit in live performance. Such a master, and a gift to us all.

One of my favorite songs. David writes so many nuanced feelings in his songs. Love the man's music!

This is an amazing performance, Very few can play such an intricate arrangement, let alone sing while they do it. What I don't get is how this vid has only 56000 views. I've seen cat videos with over a million hits. Baffled….

One of the most beautiful songs ever!! I cry listening to it, as it is the background music on a video my dad made of our family photo album. Brings back memories of those that are no longer with us, along with the shock and sadness of how fast time goes by.

I might have written this before .. I hope to see up here soon, one of my favorite songs of David Wilcox .. Distant Water. It would be a shame if others who have not heard it before are unable to hear him performing it via YouTube.

haha. I just heard This Tattoo and became a fan instantly. Started a playlist called Troubadors in youtube---first music of this genre ever--and then he's introduced as such.

Almost a studio replica! Must have been near the time the record was made. The formadas in the accompaniment, everything is spot on to the record. Would love to have an HD copy of this video. Dave if you have this, consider putting together a DVD of best live performances. I think this would be appreciated by many.

David Wilcox is to music what Mark Twain is to modern american literature. He is the consummate story singer. My heart aches with joy when I listen to and play his music. He will be remembered long after he is gone from the play of this life.

If I haven't said it before, this is one of my all time favorites he does and I hope he also uploads Distant Water..my other favorite. I was at the Paul Reid Experience event last weekend, near Annapolis, and I'll betcha if David has or bought a PRS acoustic guitar, if he wanted, he could probably get a "gig" at one of the next PRS Experience events, if he wanted to.. I'd sure like to see him perform there, at a venue close to me.

You know how you feel "thankful" that you have met or become friends with certain people? That's the best way to describe how I feel about discovering David's music back in 1993. I literally feel thankful to have discovered him when I did. His music was the soundtrack of my college years. To this day, "Show the Way" is the greatest song I have ever heard.

The person who filmed this is an idiot! We don't ever need a face shot! Keep the guitar work on screen! I hate film makers!!! David, on the other hand... WOW!
