I've heard this song covered by so many different artists over the years, some good, some not so much. This version by Mr. Cook is one of my absolute favourites! it's start's out so hauntingly quiet, then turns deliciously dark. ...the vocals and production are impeccable and that ending whew...goosebumps...Well Done Sir8 years ago

Even though this is a cover, it would be a hit if released to radio. So powerful and emotive. Rather than trying to copy the original verbatim, which would be a mistake and impossible to duplicate, this version puts its own endearing stamp on a timeless classic. Very difficult for any artist.
