FUCK!, this video is good. the music just becomes this torrent of guitar and the unrelenting hammer on the drums....the visual of the forest is just a feeling of being trapped...its not a dense forest but still there is no way out.

Listened to as part of the album the atmosphere just washes over you. It takes time to really sink in but when it does it's like the auditory equivalent of Nosferatu. Almost embryonic but brilliantly dark and grim.

This was the first black metal track I ever heard, and it was preceed by nothing darker than Opeth and Sleep. I had literally heard nothing like it before. That mournful, trace-inducing guitar - it conjures feelings hard to explain.

Although I have this album, it is kinda dull, kinda boring... Not much here. Darkthrone is a great band, but this album really doesn't cut it for me, doesn't have that evil aura and beastliness Burzum, or even Mayhem, had.
