He has a black metal band now called Rage Nucleaire. I was really upset too about him parting with Cryptopsy but now he's back!! Check em' out :D \m/

even it's flo and jon remaining, with new members & new ideas, a different approach with the band could bring us another fresh piece of cryptopsy. mike was new once but i love him most. i know what i said kinda contradicts with their 'unspoken king', but they're still going, and like you said, the new album could bring more of what we want but at the same time, different. we'll see. and if not, that's cool with me, let em do what they choose is best for them. thanks for your reply

i heard it. it's definitely a better sound from unspoken. the instrumentals i'm more into, but i just can't really get into matt's style of vocals. he's gotten his voice down a lot better, but a part of me just isn't feeling it. then again, the new record might take time to grow on me; i've only heard two songs. but i will say matt has done a lot better this time around. miguel, eric, jon, flo. made the power team with instrumentals for me. mike and worm with them were unstoppable.

This song kicks ass, one of the craziest Cryptopsy songs ever written.

Have you heard their new album? It's completely amazing, sounds like Whisper Supremacy and And Then You'll Beg IMO. Check out their bandcamp site (I had all of the songs uploaded on YouTube, but there was a copyright claim, so I took them down). Should be cryptopsyofficial (dot) bandcamp (dot) com.

cryptopsy is a legendary metal band. at one point of time, there is going to be a change. i don't like their new music at all, but i respect how they want to evolve. 'once was not' was their last album i was into, and loved everything before that. if they wanna do their own thing now, that's cool with me. but i'll still keep jammin to what they have made, and i'm happy as fuck listening to this song now

@Bassbait I prefer the clarity and dynamics of these vocals to the style of Lord Worm, and with the technical/prog angle and polished production of this album I think the vocals are better suited to it as well. As far as LW being "a major creative mind behind Cryptopsy's sound" it's not relevant to me in this case, I'm judging what I hear on the album and not who deserves more credit for creating the band.

@TheSAEmusic I made it 4 songs in, don't say we didn't try... it seriously does suck. It's TECHNICALLY because of their genre change - it isn't because they DID change genres, but they suck now because they changed to a BAD genre. They decided to make bad music and people responded by thinking badly of it. But I'm willing to overlook it if they improve with the next release.

@luke666808g So you prefer the weakest Death Metal vocals on earth to the majesty of Lord Worm? Don't give me any of that hard to understand crap, Lord Worm was a major creative mind behind Cryptopsy's sound, and being a founding member, he belongs as the singer of the band. He's been on the most albums so far, he was on their first initial releases, he was on their best album (None so Vile). Everything about him is superior.
