It IS beautiful, isn't it? I got to meet Margo in Rochester, NY after this show.. she came out after the concert and mingled. They are an extremely gifted group of musicians.

Thank you so much for posting. I have seen CJ many times and this is my favorite cover. I requested it back at a 2007 concert and Margo played it for me -- even mentioned my name. What an angel. I always assumed it was a Townes Van Zandt song, but thanks for clearing that up. Be well.

Look up the Brothers of a Feather version as well. A monster. This version is stunning. Nice nod to her daughter (I presume) during the intro.

There is another version of note, and it is done by the Black Crowes. It too is worth hearing--many, many times.

Nice job... Nobody does it better than Chris Robinson tho... But he also nailed Zep pretty good too...LOL

Thanks. They're fantastic. And what a song... My regards to Tom Rush. We Saw them in Toronto last year. Same weekend I was introduced to the Sadies.

Thanks for uploading this. A very good cover by an excellent band. I know this song from Tom Rush's version (also available here) from...1970! It did, and does, cut like a knife. It's worth hearing both versions, as both are excellent (and a lot of us "grew up", so to speak) with Tom's. I'm saving this one to favorites, too.

This is a video that was taken from my Google upload by some guy in Calgary. He's blocked me from commenting on my own video! He isn't very nice. Live at the German House - Recorded 10/06
