Brilliant and clever. This is an old Harry S. Miller tune written back in 1893. It was regarded as a children's song. The song has been covered by many modern-day children-entertainment artists: Fred Penner, Sharon, Lois and Bram, The New Christy Minstrels, and the Muppets'. Cisco's version is so sincere that it can't even be called a novelty song. It's that good.

I heard this when I was a little girl at my grandmother's house. She would put Folk Song and Minstrelsy on the record player, and we'd listen to the songs for hours. I think this one was on the 4th album near the end before Old Joe Clark. Wonderful memories!
