Oh REALLY, How was it possible then that he went on to become their greatest vocalist who wrote & performed YOU'RE THE INSPIRATION and HARD TO SAY I'M SORRY in 1984? Isn't it possible that his voice was tired in this performance? Musicians are still human, not machines!

Yes and very well. But I think its toned down a few keys since he's gotten older, but the song still sounds just as good as it did back in 82, as well as 76.

Quite right....as distasteful as it may be. Of course, Warner Brothers put forth a far better marketing effort on the latter two songs, and the 16 and 17 albums in general, than Columbia ever did for the band's first 15 albums, particularly post-1976. Never discount the great influence that Irving Azoff had on the success of the Warner's-era Chicago....he put together the record deal for 16, when other record companies wanted to take a pass on the band.
