The Studio-recorded version is so much better than this version. It's like night and day. Terry's singin's seems sort of lackluster here.

Once they turned into a successful ballad band Terry was not happy, and was on the way out, regardless. Too bad he didn't stick around.

I love this whole thing, but at 5:55--major fucking jam! Kath rocky, funky and soulful; horns smooth, but hot; everyone hitting on all cylinders. Catch Pankow's high D on the ending.

Where would Chicago be without Terry ? Unrated guitar player ! Back in the killer days ! His music will live on.

Terry being such a phenomenal lead player, his rhythm playing often gets over looked. He was outstanding at both.

Terry Kath did not die from an overdose. He was at the house of a friend and while goofing around, picked up a gun he thought was unloaded and pointed it at his head and pulled the trigger. He died instantly.

@Gary ShircliffI think Terry Kath died from a gun shot wound to the head, not an overdose.

Good morning Googlers,Democracy Now reports that as people rise in protest around the world, governments are responding with increased violence and repressive tactics. Here's a nice little bubble gum - R&B protest song from 1972. The performance is from 1977 about a year before Terry Kath's overdose.( the lead guitarist) Anyway, the vocals are not perfectly clear but the lyrics are as relevant today as they were in 1972

I saw them in a small college venue in 1975. My God, could Kath rip.Sadly, this band died a slow death after Terry's death on my birthday in '78. They had it all! All were simply beyond words live! These " live" videos don't do them justice at all.

Pianoman 70s style

It's too bad that recording equipment was such garbage in those days. Now we have such high quality video, but nothing really good to put on it.
