Ok, this song is an "ode" to masturbation, but ... someone had done something so poetic about it? Terry Kath was a great ARTIST, and probably the most underrated guitar player of rock history.

Yes, it's so obviously masturbation. "Morning blues go slippin' down the drain", he can't find his brand of "spam", he dreams of his Maypole coming out to play, and he advises his girl at home (she's his "brand" of "spam", the PYT's notwithstanding) to reach underneath her bed and turn on her electric friend (a vibrator) so she can join him. Call me Captain Obvious. Kath had a soul, and wasn't a one-night stand kind of guy. Danny Seraphine gave me all that.

Después de 1978, Chicago se convirtió en la versión americana de Air Supply. Baladas cursis, comerciales y facilonas. Jamás volvieron a la magia y originalidad que tuvieron con Terry.

Given the fact that Chicago had PYTs by the dozens stalking their hotel rooms in those days, I seriously doubt Terry Kath needed a shower for that let alone would song a song about it.

Chicago were never the same after Kath died, but they were a great band.

I have loved this song since I was a teenager, and I only just now realized it was about masturbation.

I so love this album. It brings back warm memories of my childhood. Kath was a remarkable musician. He died far too young and far too foolishly.

Back when we used to say "Far Out" this song was. Especially when the vocal harmonies (at 3:39) kicked in. Great Tune!

This song is as fresh today as when I fell in love with in love with in Denver in 1970.

I remember spending a week at my grandparents' house in the summer of 2000. I had just turned 17-years-old, and I had fallen in love with "Chicago II" and "Chicago III." That's all I listened to for weeks. This song still makes me smile after all of these years. To me, Terry Kath's guitar playing and soulful vocals are unlike anyone else'. He was an amazing musician and an even better person. You are missed, Terry.

Yes, RIP, Terry. I must have played this song a thousand times, and here, 40-some years later, it still moves me.
