The reason it reminds you of Daft Punk is because Nile Rodgers played on Daft Punk's record. Its the same guy.

Oh what a band- that bass ,the guitar ,the drums ,pianos etc it's so good; so, in time- dance music always sounds better with a band playing it rather than a sequencer

I know that's Norma Jean Wright but she left after the first album to go solo. Luci and Alfa were the lead singers for the core of Chic's success. That just can't be disputed. It doesn't take anything away from Norma Jean Wright who had a great voice but facts are facts. If you listen to her voice then compare that to Luci and Alfa singing together I think you have to come to the conclusion that the Chic sound is better with Luci and Alfa. I do love NJW's "Saturday"

I always hated Pink Floyd and they were the beneficiaries of the disco backlash that started late 1979 not hair mental which was not even around until the 1980s. I can't stand Queen either because of the freddie mercury who wanted to be seen as so beautiful and talented when he belonged behind the scenes.

Nile Rodgers best rythm guitarist ever (in my opinion) around '79 he was so influential that even rock gods Queen and Pink Floyd recorded songs imitating that kind of rythm guitar (another one bites the dust, and another brick in the wall part II).

Wronggggggggggggggggggggggg The Main singers after the first album were Luci Martin and Alfa Anderson. Check the discography or just look at album covers (I know not always definitive).

Alfa Anderson, the one singing lead in this video, still performs music. She was also a NYC school administrator for many years post-Chic. She was working as a college instructor when Nile and Bernard discovered her. Smart lady!
