The audio is terrific for what it is too. Vera nice to here the original band do a version like this. And I seriously doubt that the drummer is pissed off. They must do this same type of gig 30 times a year, and I imagine that he just takes it in stride. Thanks for posting this.

The essence of Asian martial arts is that the better one gets the less movement and action one must exert to produce a winning effect. A true Master can make magic with little effort. This concert, appropriately in Japan, is definitive proof that Cheap Trick is a Master.

I think the point is to do it with a couple of dozen adoring Japanese girls watching you and joining in.

Different people have different points of view. And mine is acoustic or not, it still sounds great, and that's what matters. I agree using electronic effects makes it not so acoustic, but also different people have different definitions, and for some of them, the definition of "acoustic" is "played on acoustic instruments unaltered", and to others it's just a matter of not using distortion (not realizing flanger, delay, phaser, chorus, etc. mean wave distortion). Just enjoy it. It's music :D

The point is not to sound great. The point is to do it accoustically.

even if so, it's a cool version.

Rick Neilson is not playing the 12 string and has a chorus on his six string so this is not acoustic. Zander is playing the 12 string and is barely playing it.

The chorus on the guitar is due to it being a 12 string.

That flanger or chorus on the guitar makes it officially NOT acoustic. Electronic effects make it electric. Electric amps are ok but guitar effects cancel the term ACOUSTIC.

Wow Robin still sounds great and so does the rest of the band! Saw them when they first came out and they still give a great concert. They influenced so many contemporary bands and are so great and yet still not in the RRHF. Go figure. Thanks for posting this!
