This music is simply extraordinary ! Bird starts off with one of his best recorded solos. Fats Navarro follows with a solo of great beauty. Amazingly, Bud follows all that with a solo from another world. Relentlessly logical, his music seems to be another level altogether, as though guided by some spirit. To think that this music was recorded by chance - and could have vanished into the ether. Its possible we may never hear music like this again........

The greatest concert ever ! The drummer is a young Art Blakey. One of the very best Bud Powell, a real genius !! I can listen a hunderd times to his marvellous improvisation on Ornitholigy (How high).
