This is the original version of "Keep Givin' Me Lovin" from Chaka's Grammy Award winning 1992 disc "The Woman I Am". This version was scrapped in favor of the version that you hear on the album. Which do you prefer?

This version is all 1-2-3- sing Chaka...and she gives it that raw funk treatment with all those church mama stylings.

I love the album version , however this version as excellent as it is has a slower groove , and not in keeping with the uptempo theme of 'The Woman I Am' album project. I love it, I wish she would add it too her new album project 'ikhan' whenever it's finally released! Thanks for posting!

I used to have this demo on cassette given to me from the songwriters C-n-A on a showreel back in the early 90s - this demo may be a little rough, but Chaka's vocals are RAW and AMAZING - that one high NOTES she hits at the 2:40 & 3:30 & 4:30 vocal adlib are NOT on the LP mix - amazing! :)

Huh, pretty great, but missing some of the superb subtlety of both Chaka and Marcus.

Wow, where did you find this!? I prefer the instrumentation on the album version, but her vocals stand out more on this one. I think the vocals are higher up in the mix.

"The Woman I Am" album made me a Chaka fan way back in the 90's. This version is great, I remember reading in a magazine years ago that Chaka had demos for this album that were better than the album cuts. This must be one of them. Thanks for posting!
