In April of 2002 we invited cameras into the studio as Buster B. Jones recorded his CD entitled "Just Us". This cut is his tribute to Jerry Reed, entilted "Collage-a-Reed". Buster said this about the song: "When I was 13 years old I heard a fellow named Jerry Reed on the radio and I thought that was how the guitar ought to be played. So for this song I took a bunch of his licks, dumped in a can of Miller Lite and whatever didn't fall out I kept, and I call it "Collage-A-Reed."

He took Jerry's licks and added more to it. He's the only picker I ever saw that could do that and make it sound fantastic. And he would sit down and show you anything you wanted to learn. If you could learn it. LOL

This likeable guy was a terrific composer as well as a student of the guitar greats, and a master of the craft. He wouldn't have gotten here if not for Jerry Reed, and Jerry wouldn't have gotten there without learning from Chet Atkins, etc., but I think Buster B. advanced the art of picking as far as it has gotten, so far.
