I spent six months at Fort Gordon, GA for basic training and AIT shortly after I graduated from high school in 1979. It rained many times there and man, it did felt like it was raining all over the world. That song brought back so many memories. Thanks for uploading that song.

In 1967 I was stationed at Ft. Gordon at Augusta, Georgia, going to Signal School before heading off to Vietnam in January 1969. When Brook Benton's song came out in 1970, it brought back memories of Georgia, and even today so many years ago.
