I remember listening to this in my 'snake ranch' when I was stationed in Okinawa in 1962. I loved it then and I love it now ... fifty years later. Thank you for the memories and the post.

A lot of Brook's early recordings suffered from bad stereo. A real shame and dis-service to the man.

@johnmorris008 John this song was recorded in split stereo ,where the vocals are only on one channel ,if you happen to be listening in mono , you may only be listening to the track with no (or very low) vocals on it .

Does anyone else have problems hearin' the words to this song? I usually listen to Tommy Steele's version to hear what he is singin'. That bein' said I do appreciate you postin' it.
