Only slightly. "You know you ain't no Queen of Sheba" turned into "I know I ain't no Queen of Sheba". Just a change in perspective. Nothing to write home about.

Yet....the words have NOT been changed...at all. Those are the exact same lyrics that Hiatt wrote and that Hiatt sings. It doesn't mean that AT ALL. You're a complete idiot.

I'm a big Hiatt fan, like Bonnie to, but she's a really good slide player, not a great one. The latter include Ry Cooder, Sonny Landreth, and Derek Trucks. The first two have played extensively with Hiatt. If you want to hear the definitive guitar solo on "Feels Like Rain", covered by Bonnie and Buddy Guy, listen to the original version by Hiatt with Landreth on guitar. No offense to Buddy, but it isn't even close.... Off of "Slow Turning" album.

So. Singers change the words around to match their genre...it does mean what I said...she knows it too!

Try forming a complete, coherent sentence.

Is it really necessary to scream at us, George? Please have some manners and locate your caps-lock key.

No. That's not what it means in this case. The line is "Take off your kid gloves, I ain't no porcupine". First of all the song was written by John Hiatt, so it's written from a man's point of view not a woman's. So clearly he is not calling HIMSELF a loose woman. He means that he doesn't need to be handled carefully (with "kid gloves") because he's won't hurt her, as one might be hurt if they pick up a porcupine. I believe Mr. Hiatt writes from a slightly more sophisticated point of view.

I saw Bonnie about 3 years ago in Salt Lake City at the Red Butte Garden venue. Leo Kottke played before her...was an amazing performance...she's a little fireball !! Almost the whole audience were Baby Boomers...was fun to see Leo sporting a nearly bald head after seeing him have hair down past his knees back in the day. Was a concert to remember!
