This is Bobby Bare performing the Shel Silverstein story :

"Rosalie`s Good Eats Cafe`"

Which originally contains 40 verses. (Including one verse of the songwriter himself)

If Bobby would sing all the verses, the song probably would have been nearly 30 minutes.

Bobby has selected 10 of the verses to this song.

I don't think there are many of these left there are donut shops but not too many restaurants. For a while I stopped at a donut shop after work (11pm) one night a guy who was intoxicated and cold came in; he only had money for half a coffee and knew it --they gave him half a coffee wish we had given him the change for a whole coffee but he was content

Silverstein and Bobby Bare, a perfect combination. This song sums up so much about city life, there's a Rosalie's at an inner city block the world over. Fantastic delivery by Bobby. Thank you so much for posting this clip! :-)

There is a lot of today's life in this song, I have seen some in some of the places that I ate at in my travels around this old country.

@FreakersBall I had never seen the Playboy and as I watched this clip, I wondered who did the drawings. The artwork is as impressive as the song. Thanks so much, I have enjoyed the song since about 1979.
