Definitely Miss Ella. There was only one. And it sounds exactly like she did this early in her career. She was so talented, she also did some conducting. You don't by chance have her "All My Life" from this period, do you? My cd's are in temporarily storage and I'm yearing for my music. Many thanks for sharing!

It was 1936 and Benny Goodman's band was playing "Goodnight My Love." And Ella was singing. My god, could she sing—and she was only nineteen! A new Victor recording even though her name was not listed, there was no mistaking the voice. The dispute caused by Ella being a Decca artist resulted in Victor recalling the record shortly after that.
