Very Early Manics Song, Ten Imaginary Quid to the first person who realises what the end of this song later became. I think, though i'm not sure that this is from 1989 and is with Richey, not Flicker. The pictures are mostly young manics, not a stunning arrangement i realise but it's mroe about the very un-manics song that is just adorable really. If you're interested, here are the lyrics, though he's fairly easy to understand.

This is on a few Manics 'rarity' bootleg CDs - which basically consist of early demos and live recordings from 90s festivals/gigs

@SuperMegabar At some points, I thought it sounded like Nicky too, but I can't be sure. It could just be a young James, haha.

Always said you can't go wrong with some ba ba ba's in a song. Double it up with a bit of clap-clap clap and youve got a winner, (especially if they sound even mightier than the one's in Space Oddity) Where did you find this? You're a star for putting it up. I'm off to watch them in Tokyo next week maybe they'll play it if i ask nicely.

am I the only one who gets the urge to skip down the street like in the musicals to this song? I love this!

There's a bit of Sorrow 16 in this too. The jangly guitar at the end of this sounds similar to the small bit that begins at 0:12 of the studio version of that song. It's no surprise that Generation Terrorists is such a polished and perfect album. Although it's their debut, the amount of demos they'd recorded shows they were pretty much established musicians by that point.

Motorcycle Emptiness much at the end? Will only accept imaginary tenners from the Bank Of Manics, with Richey's picture in place of the Queen's :)

Do you mean the very end of the song or the Motorcycle Emptiness bit? The very ending sort of sounds like Sorrow 16.
