Seems simple enough but there are many facts that must be understood so that when we understand our past we can see how it effects our present and creates our future.If you take todays date and our thinking of the present which is the existing reality that is happening in front of your eyes you then are living in the now. And when you are thinking of an event or happening that is not simutanuously happening now your mind is either living in the past, planning the future or perhaps lost in a false reality, a day dream.When your mind is living in the past your are thinking of an event that has already happened or an event that has never happened. You can think of event that has never happening in your pass if your view of what happened was distorted based on what you thought to be true. This would be the definition of living in a false reality to hold a false view or idea to be true. We all travel back in time when we use such expression such as "do you remember when" or "do you remember that one time." In short your mind is living in the pass when you are thinking of a date pervious to today date.Now to live in the future is to plan out your day, make a schedule which is done by gathering all facts of the pass and the present to correctly plan your day, or life. To think of event that has never happened is to live in a false reality or you could be in the process of creating your future. In short you are thinking of event that may or may not happen.Many have heared of the concept of living in the now, or this moment in time. This can only be done when an individual has a complete understanding of the pass, what is presently happening so that she or he may come to a correct conclusion of what will happen in the future. So to live in the "now" is to know the pass, the present and what will become our furture. This explains how an individual can travel through time in their own mind.
