This Song is taken from their Debut "Deep Sea Skiving", which was released 1983. It is written by S.Dallin, S. Fahey, K. Woodward and R. Hodgens. Hodgens was at that time the boyfriend of Siobhan Fahey, one of the Bananarama girls. He later made an own version with his band The Bluebells.

it isnt sung by marcella, she sings some of it. being an artist isnt all about who can hit a certain note btw

And the only number one "SS" had was stay, sung by Marcella. Siobhan isnt even a fraction of the singer Marcella is.

Totally sounds like "Mirror Man". Or did a lot of U.K. pop sound like this at the time?

hardly. Everyone knew SS was Siobhans band. Marcy was just a backing singer...

Is it just that i'm way too young. I didn't even know bananarama originally recorded this! It was only 2 weeks ago when we were playing the Deep Sea Skiving lp at work I then suddenly realised.

Isn't the video just a mash-up of several Madonna videos?

Poor Siobhan... the Bluebells reached bigger success with this song and Marcy stealed the lights at the Shakespeares Sisters.

@LondonUnderground186 This version preceded the Bluebells' version and was co-written by one of the girls (Siobhan Fahey).

hmmm... just discovered this. All credit to the girls for this but I prefered the Bluebells version.

I never understood how those girls could have so much success with just singing what others composed before. The rhythm of their songs is simply annoying

it must have been great to have been part of this band in the 80s

I remember seeing Mac trucks like that everywhere in the '80s and '90s; it always seemed annoying the way the cab was off to the side. You hardly see any of them now.

@Jim987445 This one came out BEFORE the Bluebells covered it. I think many prefer the Bluebell's version of this song? The whosampled website tells you who covered whose songs.

it's hardly the same song as the Bluebells version. What a piece of shit this is!
