it's the cool thing to do to hate on metallica these days but up till the 1990's I won't hear a word against them. They combined raw thrash metal fury with true musicianship in a way that no other band has managed before or since. They're not the biggest metal act ever for nothing. They might have turned to shit later but their 1980's stuff is untouchable.

Shut the fuck up. Metallica and this is both awesome, just enjoy the fucking music and stop saying bullshit to Metallica. Tallica´ was Thrash from 1981 - 1993. They returned to Thrash in 2008 with Death Magnetic but Artillery is fucking fantastic. Just enjoy the music.

Interesting discussion about what is Thrash, to speak about Metallica, it's hard to label them because they sound different on almost every album, but I'd say they did Everything they did until the Black Album was Thrash and after that, maybe Death Magnetic, but hardcore Thrash fans would probably crucify me upside down for this...
