Arthur Brown is best known for his 1968 single, "Fire," a number one hit that played all over the world and still airs to this day. The song is a product of Arthur's band, The Crazy World of Arthur Brown and has been re-done by numerous super acts, including The Who, Ozzy Osbourne, and The Prodigy. Arthur's flamboyant and theatrical style was a significant influence on various big names, including George Clinton, Alice Cooper, Kiss, Marilyn Manson, Bowie, and Peter Gabriel among others. The Crazy World of Arthur Brown is celebrating their 46 years of success with the massive hit, "Fire" by doing a 2014 tour, Crazy World. The seventy-one year old has also been busy putting together one last and final album, Zim Zam Zim with the help of donations from fans.

Search for AB's Sunrise. Best rock song, imo. Still as theatrical. :-)From Fire to Sea of Vodka.

Arthur Brown 're-ignites' an old Russian tune by Boris Fomin, made popular by Mary Hopkin as "Those Were the Days" back in 1968. My mom really loved that version. She might have loved Arthur's "Sea of Vodka" even more.

Arthur Brown is one of the most underrated singers and performers in this world. When you talk to someone about him all they can come up with is "Fire". Almost no one knows about the more than one dozen albums he has made since then. In the 80's and 90's he recorded some fine tunes that could have easily hit the charts when he was given proper air time and publicity.
