She seems very distracted and not into her own performance even though it sounds good. She's also not paying attention to the guitarist which is why she missed her cue at the turnaround. I think it shows how alienated she was as a human being. Have seen a lot of other "candid" performances similar, where she is picking at her nails, kind of looking around vaguely. I find it difficult to get involved unless I close my eyes.
