All Summer Long - in STEREO - The Beach Boys. Recorded 5/6/64 & 5/7/64

Brian Wilson

Sittin' in my car outside your house

(Sittin' in my car outside your house)

'Member when you spilled coke all over your blouse

T-shirts, cut-offs, and a pair of thongs

(T-shirts, cut-offs, and a pair of thongs)

We've been having fun all summer long

(All summer long you've been with me)

I can't see enough of you

(All summer long we've both been free)

Won't be long til summer time is through

(Summer time is through)

Not for us now

Miniature golf and Hondas in the hills

(Miniature golf and Hondas in the hills)

When we rode the horse we got some thrills

Every now and then we hear our song

(Every now and then we hear our song)

We've been having fun all summer long

Won't be long till summer time is through

(Summer time is through)

Not for us now

Every now and then we hear our song

(Every now and then we hear our song)

We've been having fun all summer long

We've been having fun all summer long

(We've been having fun all summer long)

We've been having fun all summer long

(We've been having fun all summer long)

We've been having fun all summer long

Summer is indeed great when you have some girl to share it with. You can go to the beach to discos to dance and just have fun as this song says.

Never made a bad song, even Long Tall Texan is good for a laugh. The Beach Boys didn't really take off in Britain until 1965, but when their career faded in America for a while in the late sixties, we just kept buying their records. I really quite like the Smile/ Smiley Smile era the best.

My youth was the best time of my life. Now older i miss it so and still have memories about it. Go enjoy yourself outside. Wished I lived in this era. But I did the late 70's.

I bought a 1983 (i was 17) album of BB greatest hits and was blown away by their music...felt i'd missed out on an era of great music...

Nice to remember those times when ties were just 1" or 1.25" wide. This is a great song which describes the easy and carefree attitude of a teenager. I rarely used a suit then now because of my work I must wear it everyday. Great song for recalling the fun I had in those bygone days. And Brian's shrill voice made this song something speacial. Cool.

American Graffiti brings you here. Any idea where I can buy a "Milner" and ship it back to England? Must be the coolest screen car ever.

The Simpsons brought me here, too - such a beautiful and melancholic end of an episode, comparable to "Lisa the Vegetarian" which ends with "Maybe I´m afraid" by Paul McCartney.
