When I view this video, I think of the dysfunctional relationship between Aaliyah and Blackground Records. Blackground Records Management were leeches who tried to suck Aaliyah's name dry for profit. Aaliyah felt like she was in a rancid pit full of snakes. The biggest snake of them all was her uncle, Barry Hankerson. Aaliyah wanted to leave the record label because of her uncle's lying tongue. I believe that this video insulted Hankerson so of course everything was resolved on August 25, 2001. Greed influenced irrational decisions that led to the demise of Blackground Records. Greed also influence irrational decisions that led into hurting the precious talent that entrusted their future to the bootleg label. Now Barry Hankerson is hiding somewhere. He can never out run his gaunt fate.
