In the movie "Bei Dir war es immer so schön" Zarah Leander played a movie star for whom composer Peter Martens writes a song... In a scene in which she plays the Russian empress Catherine the Great, she sings "Nur nicht aus Liebe weinen". Ironically during her years at UFA Zarah Leander was supposed to play Catherine the Great but the plans never materialized due to the moderate succes of "Das Herz der Königin" in which she played Mary, Queen of Scotland and the war with the USSR.

The movie "Bei Dir war es immer so schön" pays tribute to the music of Theo Mackeben, who died in 1953.
