What is the greatest pleasure....analyzing the Beatles or listening to their songs and loving every second of their music? Give me the latter please. Anyone who would dissect "I Want to Hold Your Hand" (as an example) is a sad man indeed and has lost the "joy" one can find on this Earth. Listen and simply be immersed in the wonder of the Beatles' music. From the day they set foot on American soil, I have loved their songs and even after they parted ways, each individual band member earned my love and loyalty as a fan. Thanks for posting A.A. Central and allowing new fans to join the club.

Fantastic track. You can hear George sneering at the politicians as he sings. He's a fab vocalist. And Macca...wow...killer guitar solo.

Paul McCartney composed and played the guitar solo on Taxman - with Harrison's blessing. George ended up being a great songwriter largely at the end, has written some fantastic , entirely Beatle-quality songs (the bar having been set by Lennon and McCartney), but nowhere near as many as John or Paul. He had time and the luxury of presenting only his very best material - (although it's true he really didn't have a choice), - while Paul and John were cranking out songs that made the Beatles the greatest songwriting band of all time from Day One. I also hope we're not going to compare Here Comes The Sun, an admitted masterpiece, to something like Maxwell's Silver Hammer - Let's go apples- to-apples with things like Eleanor Rigby, Here There & Everywhere, In My Life, If I Fell - and a mountain of others. That being said, they're all members of a one-time phenomenon that will never be touched.

One of George's they put on the album. Fantastic...especially the lyrics (I'm surprised they didn't sensor it (at the time!)).

I must have lost that social contract, I just can't find what they're talking about.

Taxes are not inherently evil, when put to good use. Excessive taxes, however... 95% is inexcusable.

I always felt George was a better songwriter than Paul and John. All of them are good but George had a special gift for songwriting which is evidence in Taxman and Here Comes The Sun. His songwriting was beyond unique like this guitar solo or the flutes in the background of Here Comes The Sun.

""" and you're working for no one but me ... Taxman !!! """ We are not paying enough taxes! We must pay more taxes, just as the Beatles commented against. Praise be Our Dearest Supreme Leader The Non-Capitalist In The Whitehouse The Emperor And Chief. :)
