There is another better version from BBC from 1963 a year earlier on here,check it out,lennon sings it better he doesn't seem interested on this version so why didn't they include other version on cd release in 1994Maybe they just found second version recently.

Yep Fab4 r sleepy- bt great vocal by John (internaly-redundant phrase of th year!). Hendrix is only noise&flash, no real emotion, no honoring th song or th joy of R'n'R (which is what th song is about). Folks knock GDead Berry covers (& evrythng else!) bt they always gave 100% & their covers show respect&love 4 what they were playing. I am a big Beatles fan. As a kid I watched the Beatles perform live on the Ed Sullivan show. I eventually went on to make a living in the music business myself. It may be hard for some people to understand but in the beginning the Beatles were turned down by (several) record companies. In reality, the world is and has always been filled with many great musicians who never get the opportunity to be marketed to such an incredible level. Much of the music business is about who you know. Fact.
